If you have gone looking for subreddit analytics recently, you have met the graveyard: sites showing subscriber counts from three years ago, growth charts that flatline on the day the scraper broke, and “posts per day” figures that were never real. It is not negligence. Reddit progressively closed off the unauthenticated access those tools were built on, and in May 2026 the public JSON endpoints started returning 403 to anonymous callers outright. Free scrapers stopped working, and most of them were never fixed.

Prowlo kept collecting because the data is the product. Our own pipeline fetches each tracked community on a rolling schedule and writes a snapshot — subscribers, active users, posts per day, comments per post — so the history you see here is ours, not a one-off scrape. Every figure on every page carries the timestamp it was captured at. If we do not have a number, we say so instead of showing you a stale one.

What you get for each subreddit

• Members — current subscriber count, plus the snapshot history behind it.
• Posts per day and comments per post — whether anyone is actually home, and whether they talk to each other.
• 7- and 30-day growth — each labelled with the real day-span it was measured over.
• Promo tolerance — low, medium or high, so you know whether a product mention will be removed.
• Similar communities — by subject matter and by shared posters.

How to actually use the numbers

Subscriber count is a vanity metric — it only ever goes up, because nobody unsubscribes. Look at posts per day first: it tells you how long a thread stays visible, and therefore whether a considered reply is worth writing. Then comments per post, which separates communities that discuss things from communities that dump links. A subreddit with 80,000 members, six posts a day and eight comments on each is a far better place to be useful than one with two million members and no conversation.

Use growth as a direction check rather than a verdict. Steady positive growth means the community is still recruiting new people, which matters if you plan to be there for a year. A flat or declining count on a busy subreddit is fine — plenty of mature communities are healthy and static. What should worry you is a subreddit that has stopped growing and stopped posting.
