Getting Started
Welcome to Prowlo! This guide will walk you through the basics so you can go from sign-up to your first Reddit reply in minutes.
What is Prowlo?
Prowlo monitors Reddit to find conversations where people are looking for products or solutions like yours. It analyzes every post for buying intent, risk level, and relevance to your offering — then surfaces the best opportunities for you to engage.
Quick Setup (5 minutes)
Complete your Product Profile
Your product profile is how Prowlo understands what you offer. The better your profile, the better your matches.
Go to Product Profile and fill in:
- Product name and website — basics so we know what to match against
- Description and features — what your product does
- Target audience and problems solved — who it’s for and what pain points it addresses
Tip
Use the “Auto-fill from website” button to pull information from your website automatically. You can refine the results afterward.

Browse Your Opportunities
Head to Opportunities. You’ll see a feed of Reddit posts ranked by opportunity and relevance to your product.
Each opportunity card shows:
- Subreddit and post age — where and when it was posted
- Risk badge — how safe it is to engage (LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH)
- Relevance score — how closely it matches your product (if you’ve set up your profile)
- Risk insight box — actionable tips for how to approach the conversation
Set Up Keyword Tracking
Head to Keywords to add terms you want to monitor. Keywords find leads that pure relevance matching might miss — like competitor mentions, industry pain points, or your brand name. See the Keyword Tracking Guide for details.
Write Your First Reply
Click Write Reply on any opportunity card. You can:
- Write your reply manually in the editor
- Click Generate with AI for an AI-drafted response based on the post context and your product profile
- Edit the draft until you’re happy with it
- Click Post to Reddit — this copies your text, saves a draft, and opens the Reddit post
Paste your reply in Reddit’s comment box and submit!
Connect Your AI Assistant (Optional)
Everything above works from the Prowlo dashboard. But for the best experience, connect an AI assistant to Prowlo via MCP. This lets your AI browse opportunities, manage keywords, draft replies, and access your full product context — all without switching tabs.
Claude Cowork is the recommended option — it connects with one click and gives Claude the most context to help you engage intelligently. Prowlo handles the heavy lifting of filtering noise and scoring risk; Claude uses that intelligence alongside your product profile to draft replies that fit each community.
You can also connect Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, or Windsurf using an API key.

Understanding the Dashboard
Opportunities Page
Your main feed. Filtered and sorted by quality. Use the filter bar to narrow results:
- Quick filters — All, Hot Leads (high match + low risk), Fresh (posted recently)
- More Filters — sort order, relevance threshold, intent type, risk level
- Hide Promos toggle — filter out promotional/self-promotion posts
Engagements Page
Tracks your posted replies. After you submit a comment on Reddit, Prowlo monitors it for 24 hours and reports whether it survived (wasn’t removed) and how it performed (upvotes, replies).
Subreddit Intelligence
Browse analyzed subreddits to see their promotion tolerance, moderation strictness, and typical engagement patterns.
