What changed
The keyword editor grew three things people kept asking the docs for:
- Descriptions — each keyword can carry a short note on why you track it (behind a "+ Description" toggle, so the editor stays clean). Agents see the description too, which keeps a shared workspace legible.
- Tagging rules in the dashboard — the rules that label incoming matches are now created and edited right in the keyword editor, instead of living only behind the API.
- Syntax help beside the query — a full-height panel next to the query field documents how matching works: plain terms are exact,
"quoted phrases"match verbatim, wildcards cover word endings, and multi-word queries are explained — with a recommendation to use one keyword per phrasing.
Why it matters
Keyword queries are the steering wheel of Keyword Monitor — small syntax differences change what lands in your Dataset. Having the rules explained where you type, and a note on each keyword saying what it's for, means fewer surprised "why did this match?" moments later.
How to use it
Open Keyword Monitor and edit any keyword — the help panel is right there on wide screens, and "+ Description" adds the note. Tagging rules are in the same editor; agents can manage both over MCP with the tag_rule_* and keyword_monitor_* tools.
