FAQ
Answers to commonly asked questions about Prowlo.
General
How often does the opportunity feed refresh?
The pipeline discovers new posts every few hours. Your Opportunities page auto-refreshes every minute to show the latest scored results.
Why do I see posts marked as "promotional"?
Posts where the author is promoting their own product are classified as SELLING intent. These are automatically downgraded in opportunity score since they're less likely to be genuine buying conversations. You can hide them entirely using the Hide Promos toggle in the filter bar.
What does the risk badge mean?
The risk badge (LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH) indicates how likely it is that a product-related comment could be removed or poorly received in that subreddit. It's based on the subreddit's moderation history, promotion tolerance, and patterns from past posts. See Scoring & Signals for full details.
How far back does Prowlo look?
The default window is 7 days. Posts older than 48 hours in fast-moving subreddits are typically scored as LOW opportunity since the conversation has often moved on.
How does keyword tracking work?
Keywords use PostgreSQL full-text search to find posts containing your tracked terms. When you add a keyword, it automatically scans the last 7 days of posts for matches. Ongoing, every new post is checked against all active keywords in real-time. Matched posts bypass the standard pre-filter, so keywords can surface discussions the AI pipeline would normally skip.
Can I manage keywords from my AI assistant?
Yes. If you've connected Prowlo via MCP (Claude Cowork, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, or Windsurf), you can list, add, pause, and delete tracked keywords directly from your AI assistant. Just ask something like "Show me my keywords" or "Add a keyword for 'CRM alternative'". Plan limits apply the same way as when managing keywords from the dashboard. See the Keyword Tracking guide for details.
What's the best way to use Prowlo?
We recommend Claude Cowork. It connects with one click via OAuth2, and Claude gets your full product context — your profile, engagement guidelines, subreddit intelligence, and keyword strategy. This means Claude can draft replies that genuinely fit each conversation and community, not generic responses. Prowlo handles the noise filtering and risk scoring; Claude uses that intelligence to help you engage smarter.
Product Profile
Do I need a product profile?
It's not required, but strongly recommended. Without a profile, you'll see opportunity and risk scores but no relevance matching. With a profile, each post gets a percentage match score and AI replies are personalized to your product.
Can I update my profile later?
Yes. Changes take effect within a few minutes. All existing opportunities are re-scored against your updated profile.
What's the "Auto-fill from website" feature?
Enter your website URL and click the button. Prowlo visits your site and extracts product information (name, description, features, audience, etc.) to pre-fill the profile form. Review and refine the results — auto-fill is a starting point, not a finished product.
Scoring & Matching
What does the Relevance % on each card mean?
Relevance % is how well the post topic fits your product profile — an embedding-based similarity score from 0 to 100%. It's the primary signal on each opportunity card.
What about Opportunity score? Where did it go?
Opportunity score (HIGH/MEDIUM/LOW) is still computed internally — it combines intent strength, freshness, and saturation — and we use it to filter your feed. It's no longer the headline pill because Relevance % is the more actionable signal for deciding where to engage. You can still see the Opportunity level for any post by clicking the info icon next to the Survival pill.
Why might a post have a high Relevance % but feel like a poor fit?
Relevance % measures topical similarity, not engagement quality. Check the info popover — if Opportunity is LOW the post may be old, saturated with comments, or missing clear intent. Survival % tells you how likely the thread is to stay up if you post.
How does AI Review work?
AI Review sends the post through a secondary analysis that verifies intent classification, checks for stealth ads, and (if you have a product profile) generates specific talking points, response angles, and a draft comment. Results are cached so repeated reviews are instant.
Replies
How do I mark a reply?
After you reply on Reddit, come back to the opportunity card and click Mark replied.
Where did My Drafts go?
We merged Your Feed and My Drafts into one page — Opportunities. Filter by Drafted to see just your drafts.
