Chrome Extension

The Prowlo Chrome extension connects your browser to the dashboard, enabling draft management, reply tracking, and seamless posting to Reddit.

What It Does

Draft management — view and manage reply drafts created from the Opportunities page
Reply tracking — automatically detects when you submit a comment on a Reddit post that matches a saved draft
Engagement feedback — reports your comment back to the dashboard so Prowlo can track its performance over time

Requirements

Google Chrome browser (latest version recommended)
An active Prowlo account
Permissions for Reddit and Prowlo domains (granted during installation)

Installation

Install from the Chrome Web Store

Visit the Prowlo extension page on the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome. Confirm the permissions when prompted.

Pin the Extension

After installation, click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin Prowlo for easy access.

Log In

Click the Prowlo icon in your toolbar. You have two login options:

Option A: Login with Prowlo (recommended)

Click the Login with Prowlo button
You'll be redirected to the Prowlo web app
Log in with your account credentials
The extension will automatically receive your session

Option B: Manual Login

Enter your email and password directly in the extension popup
Click Sign In

Once logged in, you'll see your active drafts count in the popup.

How It Works

The Reply Workflow

On the Opportunities page, click Write Reply or use AI Review to generate a comment
Click Post to Reddit — this saves your reply as a draft, copies it to your clipboard, and opens the Reddit post
Paste your reply into Reddit's comment box and submit
The extension automatically detects your submitted comment and links it to the draft
Prowlo begins tracking the comment's performance (survival, upvotes, replies)

Draft Management

The extension popup shows your active drafts. Each draft shows:

The target subreddit
A preview of your reply text
Draft status (copied, pending, matched)

Drafts expire automatically after a set period if not used.

Permissions Explained

The extension requires access to:

reddit.com — To detect when you submit comments and match them to drafts
app.prowlo.com — To sync authentication and draft data
Storage — To store your login session and draft data locally
Active Tab — To read the current tab URL for Reddit post matching

The extension only activates on Reddit post pages and the Prowlo web app. It does not read or modify any other websites.

Troubleshooting

Extension says "Not logged in"

Click Login with Prowlo and complete the web login flow
Make sure you're logged into the Prowlo web app in the same browser
Try clearing the extension's storage: right-click the icon > Manage Extensions > Clear Data, then log in again

Draft not detected after posting

Make sure the extension is installed and you're logged in
The extension matches comments by URL — ensure you're posting on the same Reddit post that was opened from the dashboard
Both new Reddit (reddit.com) and old Reddit (old.reddit.com) are supported
